If you haven’t heard of Jesse Gold, I’ve got a treat for you. At just eighteen years old, the kid is talented beyond his years: Gold is the real deal, and his sound is entirely his own. Jesse’s currently a vocal student at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, but he’s homegrown – born and raised in Toronto. Previously Jesse Gold was a part of the band Trading Hearts and after releasing an album on iTunes, he’s now a solo artist with a completely FREE new disc called The Come Along EP. Each of the album’s 4 tracks has its own unique sound and really establishes him as a multi-genre artist capable of tackling any kind of material. The album was produced by Gold’s best friend and drummer Jack Emblem, and their creative chemistry is palpable – here’s hoping this partnership lasts for years to come.

The Come Along EP opens with the soulful “Willo”. Not only are the lyrics perfectly romantic but it also showcases his musicality and vocal talents in a different way than any other song on the EP – the kid can wail. Check out “Michigan, Boston, Toronto” for a taste of Gold’s guitar talents – the kid can shred. “New Light” is instantly catchy – I already know all the lyrics.
