Bored by the fact that Marshall Lewis started his recording career at age 18, my interest was piqued when I read on to learn that that was barely 5 months ago. While I may be a frequent skeptic of the young and raw, I am not able to deny the arresting talent coming from Marshall Lewis.  Pulling influence from Bon Iver, Ben Howard and Sufjan Stevens (I detect a bit of James Vincent McMorrow in the mix as well), we find ourselves with a digestible folk sound powered by soulful croons and intimate melodies. Find his solo work on Soundcloud (some recordings supported by a Kickstarter campaign), as well as songs from an EP set to release in 2014, in which he is accompanied by a band.
