Fine Times emerged from Vancouver in 2010 on Light Organ Records, crafting an excellent self-titled album that came out in September 2012. The band’s collaboration with producer Howard Redekopp, responsible for the likes of Tegan & Sara, The New Pornographers, and The Zolas, has helped to foster a signature sound.
“Hey Judas” is a rollicking anthem that sweeps you up in its waltzy sway, chugging guitar, synth overlay and carpe diem lyrics, and then holds onto you with it’s woah-woah-ing chorus. This track plays like an ode to youth and a four-minute exclamation of expansive joy, making Fine Times a easy selection for a music festival. Fine Times will be performing at the Squamish Valley Music Festival on August 9.
