The City

River Tiber is an up and coming band from Toronto. This is the first track off of their latest album Synapses. I like this song particularily because it goes through so many different sounds. They’ve come through Kingston several times and have played Clark Hall on campus a bunch. Lead singer Tommy Paxton-Beesley’s voice reminds me of Thom Yorke on certain tracks along with some of the instrumentals. Initially started as a one man project by Paxton-Beesley, who multitracked all the instruments himself. Now there are four members in total. Keep an eye out for these lads the next time they come to Kingston you know? Sunny Sundays.
