Eighteen year-old singer/songwriter Raury first caught my attention in September when he featured on a track off of SBTRKT’s new album, Wonder Where We Land.  Scrolling through his Soundcloud, I came across a collab with electronic/Bon Iver-esque artist, Vancouver Sleep Clinic. Their track “Superfly,” is happy, poppy, and contrasts the haunting vocals of Sleep Clinic with Raury’s acoustic R&B style. With a feel good chorus and a breakdown verse of Raury rapping, “Superfly” definitely resembles something off of a Kid Kudi album. Das okay though, because the overall youthful vibe makes for some very easy listening. The artists behind both Raury and Vancouver Sleep Clinic are under 20,  and it’s a safe bet that they will both  be invited to Lorde’s 19th b-day bA$H this 2016.

Raury just released and a new LP out called “Indigo Child” on Columbia Records, so if you like what you hear here, go check it out!
