I don’t know about the rest of you, but after spending a few serene hours studying with the soothing sounds of Bon Iver or Youth Lagoon, every so often I need something to wrench me out of my state of mechanical transcription of notes. Goldroom is just the man for the job. Hailing from the sunny state of Cali, producer Josh Legg’s sun-drenched style will transport you right out of the library to an illicit beach rave. Goldroom’s new track “Sweetness Alive” just dropped last week, and his advice on listening to it is to “close your eyes and let it take you somewhere nice”. If you can’t get out of the library, at least you can get out of your head for a few blissful minutes of syth-laden tropical disco beats.
