Self-defined as “melancholic avant-folk with homesick harmonies and booty-shakin rhythm” this four-piece rock/folk band based out of the West Coast exemplifies Queen’s unique and strong music base. Ivory Hours was created by recent graduates of Queen’s U and members of the Queen’s Music Club. You may better recognize their original band name Sweet Thief, under which they played occasional concerts in and around campus last year. After a name change and investing two months in studio focusing on their EP, Ivory Hours is finally starting to gain deserved recognition in the Vancouver music scene. The vocals in this band melt together making each song extremely soothing and easy to listen to. Ivory Hours will hopefully revisiting their four-year home in the New Year so keep an eye out!
