Windsor Hum

Windsor Hum is a song from Library Voices’ EP “For John” that was released this past June on Nevado Records. The overall sound of the track is reminiscent of The Kinks or early Beatles, especially in the guitar riffs, generous use of cymbals and simplistic lyrics. It hits you with a wall of sound that may seem to blend all the elements together, but listen for the sweet organ notes in the background and the way the composition adds in a good amount of groove amidst the garage rock style jamming. The word “hum” is used very appropriately in the title as the tempo of the song stays fairly even throughout, creating a pleasant tune that would not be out of place on a pirate radio station in 1960’s England.
